The title of this website is to honor the Buddha from Dolpo.  Much is still being learned and written about this influential Being and we want to be a part of spreading his teachings. 

It is our feeling that Dolpopa's teachings on the "Emptiness of Self-Nature" and "Emptiness of Other" are  at the very core of all artisic expression. They are the goal.

Dolpopa Sherab Gyaltsen,"identified ultimate reality as the Buddha-nature inherent in all living beings."  Buddha-nature can be found in people, flowers, landscapes, and animals.  Anything and everything can be used as a subject for art and it is up to the person creating the art to find and show the  Buddha-nature in the subject.  It is Buddha-nature that attracts us to any one thing, including art.
